4D Audio Services
Studio sessions provide the chance to create professional sounding recordings. We include engineering, our recording studio and all of our high-quality sound equipment. The engineer will rearrange the studio, power and test equipment, and prepare a basic setup before you arrive.
Sessions usually begin with some session setup, headphone mixing, and mic checks. Once the setup sounds great we can record takes. Our digital system is capable of creating specific edits and/or sound effects as required. Towards the end of our session, time-permitting, we will create a digital file for you to take home and listen to.
Once you’re happy with your recordings, you may compare the sound to reference recordings. If the reference recordings ‘jump through’ the speakers more than your own, the difference may be a proper mix. We can emphasize the impact and energy of a recording by expanding its sonic width, height, and depth. The mix will come out more commercially competitive, defined, and exciting than it started.
Mixing services are scheduled and billed separately from studio sessions.
Mastering is the final audio processing stage. At this point, you are satisfied with the mix, but are looking for that extra ‘push’ or ‘gloss’ to professionally shape the record. A proper master will often improving a recording’s stereo field and frequency representation. Importantly, this is also the best opportunity to enhance audio levels, ensuring they are appropriate for commercial playback. When mastering a collection of mixes, inconsistencies between them will also be reviewed and corrected.
Mastering services are scheduled and billed separately from studio sessions.
Vocal tuning is the pitch manipulation of a recorded voice. The vocalist T-Pain famously uses this effect for voice alteration, but it can be applied in natural ways as well.
Tuning services result in a clearer, and more defined vocal performance. We can shape the vocal to achieve the amount of tuning effect you desire: from nearly transparent, to T-Pain madness.
Vocal tuning is billed separately. We include 2 complimentary tuning revisions.
