My Background

Hi, I’m Steven Pardo, the founder of 4D Audio Productions, based in Glen Cove, New York. I’m a music producer and sound engineer, and I have always had a strong connection to music and storytelling. I enjoy collaborating with singers, songwriters and bands, as well as journalists and other creatives to make inspiring sonic experiences.

At a young age I took piano and voice lessons, and then guitar lessons as I got older. In high school I held an internship at Cove City Sound Studios, where I observed and learned a lot about audio engineering. At that time I also began running sound for school events and built a sound studio in my parent's basement. In college, at the University of Miami, I engineered for several ensembles and dozens of songwriters, both on live shows and recordings, including contributions to the Grammy-nominated album With Love by Jeremy Fox. After graduating, I worked with 14-time Grammy winner Ron Saint Germain on projects for Madison Rising and David Rothschild. In 2014, I launched 4D Audio Productions.

In 2015 4D Audio was awarded as ‘Best New Audio Production Company’ by Thumbtack, and in 2017 Wait Wait Don’t Kill Me, a musical podcast I recorded, mixed, mastered, and sound designed with Alan Schmuckler, won the Webby Award for Best Sound Design/Original Music Score. In 2022-23 I was the lead audio engineer for industry-leading crypto podcast The Scoop.

Through 4D Audio, I have collaborated with hundreds of artists and organizations, including Mauricio Maestro (Boca Livre), Jon 'The Barber' Gutwillig (Disco Biscuits), Ryan Scott, Kellon Anderson (Sammy Rae & the Friends), David Rothschild, Christian Nourijanian, Dan Saulpaugh, Metropolitan Horn Authority, Bridges and Tunnels, Daniel Landers, Michael Montan, Mason Reich, Alejandro Elizondo, Wondery Podcast Network, Alchemation, and the Block.
